I was introduced to the wonderful world of birth work during my sister’s pregnancy. As I was helping the practitioner, she hinted at the fact that she was a Doula. Adding that I would do well in that field due to my caring nature. After more research, I began seeing the need for this service and fell in love with this industry.
In 2019, I became a DONA trained Birth Doula, and obtained certifications in: Newborn Care Specialist (NCS), Postpartum Doula(PPD), Basic Life Support(BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), CPR, First Aid and trained in Benkung Belly Binding.
I’ve had the pleasure of supporting parents with their newborns days and nights, providing care for families across states, families with multiples, parents with disabilities, and supporting births in both hospitals and birth centers. I’ve learned to be more understanding, open to new ideas, and sensitive in different situations. It’s everything I thought it would be and more.
I still find the time to be a supportive wife to my husband, homeschool my son, sing, brush up on my Spanish even play Pickleball. I hope to support as many families as I can while enjoying this adventure.
