According to the CDC, 83.2 percent of women start out breastfeeding, but less than half of infants are exclusively breastfed at 3 months. This shows that most women have a desire to breastfeed, but not all women have the education, support, and resources to help them in their lactation goals.
Improving breastfeeding rates begins with giving new parents access to proper education and information before their new baby is born.
About the Class
First-time mothers-to-be often have lots of questions and even some worries about breastfeeding i.e. how do I know if my baby is getting enough? It is natural for breastfeeding to hurt? This 2-hour Class provides tips and strategies on how to get through the first month.
